Work-in-progress shots for the Okami-styled wolf Link. I didn't take many, but which ones I did were certainly worth it.

I had initially spent half an hour sketching the wolf Link from various angles on paper during Thanksgiving, but that failed to produce any good poses so I ended up erasing it all and getting to work on a different drawing.

But when I finally visualized a decent pose for him, it took only about fifteen minutes for the crude sketch. I wasn't quite satisfied with the angles on his face and forefeet, so I had to resketch those areas. More than once. I swear, I must've sketched that that back left foot at least eight times because it didn't 'feel' right.

A little refinement and clarity on those details, then the coloring. Micron pens did serve a small purpose here on the eyes and moon, but they could not avail the rest.

Remind me to NEVER try imitating cel-shading in the negative again (lol), it just doesn't work that way. The white ink didn't turn out to be all that useful, ultimately requiring about an hour in GIMP to clean up the scan.

Inverted, the gray turned out . . . well, a lot more "gray" than I was hoping, but honestly, I might've set my expectations too high, so it's still worth the trouble.

And I like coloring in the moon.
